FROM A BRAIN MAP TO A GAME
Research inspired it.
Play drives it.
How does an invisible scent become a movement? BanaBuzz grew out of a project exploring the fruit-fly connectome: a map of connections between neurons.
The game and the research model are different. Current gameplay does not run the FlyWire connection matrix. It uses scent differences, obstacle avoidance and search rules; its six sensory state values are not six biological neurons. This is not a whole-brain replica or a biologically validated behavior predictor.
